In fact, on some level, I first realized I was a Pagan (or at least wanted to be) at the age of ten, when I read a beautifully illustrated book of Greek myths. The intricate drawings and bright colors of those illustrations are probably the reason those myths have stuck so close to me all these years. The images helped me understand that art could be more than pretty pictures; that it could somehow convey a truth not otherwise articulated.
